Taking early detection to the next phase of impact

Swasth Mahila Swasth Bharat 2.0 marks the next chapter in a long-term effort to strengthen breast cancer prevention across India. With the combined commitment of the YouWeCan Foundation and Xiaomi India, the initiative now enters a wider and deeper phase of action that will reach 60,000 more women with screening and awareness.

Preventative health education is neither a part of school curriculums nor a part of at-home education.

To address the need to a population as big as India, there is a need for health innovation.

Women find out about their status instantly if they are NOT AT RISK.

Women that are suspected are instantly aligned with the subsequent testing to confirm their diagnosis without delay.

Self Breast Examination is an important tool to detect breast cancer early. All women must be trained on examining themselves at home.

A painless, radiation free and affordable health tool aims to tackle the inhibitions that are keeping women away from health centres.

Why Phase 2 Matters

The first phase made breast health conversations possible in places where silence was the norm. Yet there are many communities where women still lack access to screening and practical information. Phase 2 has been designed to take this work forward by reaching geographies and groups that continue to remain underserved. The expansion ensures continuity. It keeps momentum alive. It strengthens a model that has already shown meaningful outcomes at the grassroots.

What We Built in Phase 1

YouWeCan and Xiaomi India worked together to screen 60,000 lakh women across 15 states and helped over 300,000 people understand the importance of breast health. The program created acceptance at the community level, encouraged families to support early check-ups, and helped frontline workers gain confidence in spreading awareness. This foundation now supports the growth of Phase 2.

Partnership at the Core

The collaboration between YouWeCan Foundation and Xiaomi India continues to guide this program forward. The partnership brings together technology, outreach, and a strong focus on social purpose. Working together has allowed both teams to design a model that is practical, scalable, and rooted in the realities of the communities it serves. With Phase 2, this partnership grows further. More field teams, more districts, more coordinated support, and a strengthened commitment to improving women’s health.

Expanding the Circle of Care

Swasth Mahila Swasth Bharat 2.0 is built on the belief that every woman should be able to access screening without fear or delay. When she understands her health, the benefits reach her entire family. When she seeks timely help, her community learns from her. This initiative creates a ripple effect that touches homes, workplaces, and neighbourhoods. It builds long-term habits of awareness that continue long after a screening camp ends.

The Journey Ahead

Phase 2 is a step forward in a longer mission. It takes the learnings of Phase 1 and applies them to new locations, new groups, and new challenges. With the continued partnership of YouWeCan and Xiaomi India, the initiative will work to make preventive healthcare more approachable and more familiar to women across India. Swasth Mahila Swasth Bharat 2.0 carries the same promise as before. Every phase brings us closer to a future where women’s health is recognised, supported, and prioritised in every community.

What Phase 2 Will Focus On

Swasth Mahila Swasth Bharat 2.0 expands both scale and scope. It strengthens screening outreach, builds stronger referral pathways, and increases the presence of trained health workers in high-need areas. The initiative will give more women the chance to come forward without hesitation and will support local systems that enable timely care. Women screened in this phase will continue to play an important role in shaping healthier communities. Their participation becomes an example for peers and families, creating a culture where preventive care is seen as a shared responsibility.

Xiaomi India's support is instrumental in scaling our efforts to reach 1.5 lakh women across 15 states. Their commitment is truly commendable. Together, we're not just screening for breast cancer; we're empowering women with knowledge and early detection tools. We are grateful to Xiaomi for their partnership in this initiative.

Partner’s Message

In our decade-long journey in India, we have evolved beyond being a technology brand by leveraging our extensive network for meaningful social change. The stark reality that a woman in India dies of breast cancer every 6 minutes, with 70% of cases diagnosed in advanced stages due to lack of screening, underscores the urgency of our mission. We're proud to join forces with the Yuvraj Singh Foundation (YouWeCan), harnessing our technological expertise to drive large-scale impact. Together, we aim to break stigmas, spread awareness, and enable early detection - potentially saving countless lives. This initiative embodies our commitment to India, extending far beyond innovation to address critical health challenges and create lasting positive change.
